Frequently Asked Questions

Why are we not offering FREE care packages to everyone?
After sending over 800 care packages as free gifts to anyone that asked, we were overwhelmed with requests. Donations to our cause were not keeping up with the demand for our care packages. We made the decision to provide a care package at a very reasonable price. We will continue to send care packages as gifts through our Ellie’s Way Giveaways, but cannot have an open request system. Please see our other Grief Gifts (Ellie’s Way Memorial Necklace, Grief Support Package, and FREE e-Care Package).

Does the picture need to be a specific size?
No. We will resize and crop the photos to fit for you. It looks better if you provide a high resolution photo.

Can I pick charms to put in the necklace?
We include a minimum of (3) charms — “In Memory of”, “Daughter” (or other relationship), and a custom photo charm. You can add your own charms to the necklace.

What does the necklace consist of?
You will receive a minimum of (3) charms, a 2-sided disc with a custom photo on one side and name on the other, 20″ chain, and TWIST Stainless Steel Silver CZ Big Round Locket. Shipping within the U.S. is included.

How long will it take to receive the package?
We try to ship as soon as possible, but it could take up to three weeks. The shipping time is dependent on number of packages to be shipped and our volunteer’s schedules.

How to open the necklace?
The necklaces are “twist-top.” Just rotate the top in reverse direction from the bottom part and it will unscrew. This will allow you access to add charms. Periodically check to make sure it is tight.

I ordered the necklace for my mom. Without exaggeration, I was sincerely blown away with how beautiful and well done it turned out. I can honestly say it is one of the most cherished of all her possessions. Thank you so much for all you do to support grieving hearts. God bless you.

We lost my sister one year ago on February 27. She was only 25. She died of a disease called Steven Johnson. It is a horrible allergic reaction to antibiotics. Please take extra special care of the pills you all are taking and giving to your family. She left behind two small girls. My mother is heart broken. Our whole world has been shattered.

I just found this site, I wish I had found it sooner! This is so touching, beautiful and so very resourceful. It would probably be nearly impossible to order a care package and it be delivered by the 26th of September? My I’d love to order one each of these for my sisters and possibly one for my father. Our mother passed away a year ago on the 26th of September at the young age of 46 from breast cancer, after fighting the hardest fight I’ve ever seen someone fight for but 10yrs, 3 remissions and then the breast cancer… Read more »
